Here is what we are making for Dad today...I have five kids so this works perfectly for us, but you could make it work with any number I think...I am tracing both their hands side by side with their fingers outstretched (so that I can cut them out as one piece on colored manila folders...so it will be thick. Each child can decorate his hands as he wishes (I'll help the baby out!) and I'll glue a photo of each in the center. We'll laminate them with self laminating sheets, place them on top of one another smallest to largest, and punch a hole in the corner. They'll all go on a key ring circle and Daddy can use it to say the Rosary, counting his babies' fingers instead of beads! I'll try to blog photos later today.

It's really a cute idea.

And depending on the dad... a plate of chocolate chip cookies might be perfect

No, he's been instructed to stay away from the blog until after Christmas.

thanks for all your help. heres what i decided on. i had my son draw with permanent markers on a white piece of material a picture of him doing something he likes with his dad. he drew them playing "copy cat" a game where one plays something on violin and the other has to copy it. i am going to iron this on a tshirt with that stitchery witchery stuff and then sew on an edge. tomorrow i hope to get the sewing stuff done. hope!! i will post pics of it when i am done

Great ideas! Such adorable keepsakes. Wish I still had time or ANY energy to do one of these!
