I am a stampipng, scrapbooking and knitting crafter. Well truth be told, more of a collector. I love the new Stampin' Up catalog. I have been busy stamping thank you cards the last few days. I try and show dh that I actually use my collections 
During the winter I knit scarves, they are the only thing I know how to knit  , and I can't purl .
While dh is gone next year I am hoping to move my craft area upstairs to my bedroom and get a lot of scrapbooking done.
So how do you fill your need to create?

I love both sewing and knitting. It seems to be plenty to keep my creative side happy. 
I probably spend the most "time" on arts and crafts for the 13 and younger crowd.

I'm a random crafter:-(
I've done a bit of a lot of things, but for the most part I do Hardanger (I like it because it's easy to count!), crochet (only dishcloths, though:-) ) and a little bit of cross-stitch (one project I'm _determined_ I'll finish!). There's also the sewing (mostly machine), and I'm getting back into photography. (And of course, there's Making Montessori Materials... that's probably my most regular craft!)
In my 'I'll get back to it one day' pile, I also knit, stamp, make bobbin lace, make silver jewellery, do woodwork, do wood turning, glass painting and quilting.

So many!!
I love to cross-stitch but I don't have that much sit-down time (although my youngest child still needs his stocking done before Christmas, so that will have to change).
I used to do stained glass but that isn't a very kid-friendly hobby.
I know how to sew and enjoy making stuff for the house or clothes for my daughter. My mother is a wonderful seamstress so I usually just buy pretty patterns and send them to her.
My real hobby, the one I MAKE time for, is scrapbooking. I love it, maybe too much .
Really, I'll try almost anything!!

I like handwork of most kinds. Embroidery and crochet are my favorites, and I cannot knit, mostly because I learned to crochet first and I cannot master the coordination of knitting. I am trying to learn locker hooking on my own. I also sew a little.
Lately I have been working on my daily thread crochet snowflakes, but also on "big" crochet with fabric strips, making rugs. I'm also intrigued with plastic bag crochet, but haven't started a project yet. I'm also working on embroidered handkerchiefs for small impromptu gifts. I'm working up a dozen with the floral motifs in various colors, and leaving a space for a monogram I can quickly add as needed. If I get really ambitious, I'll work up a little thread crochet edging on them as well.
I like these kind of projects because they are easily portable and can be worked in spurts.

KNITTING!
I also like to try just about any other crafty-craft -- the kind you find mentioned in Martha Stewart or Mary Engelbreit! I love playing with Sculpey and painting with acrylics on wood. I love making Christmas things -- gifts, ornaments, decorations.
Most importantly, I love crafting with my kids and friends and sparking their creativity!

I used to scrapbook. I also have a counted cross stitch Christmas stocking for my daughter...I bought it last winter but I haven't started it yet.
I wonder how it can be I can't find the time to create.

My favorites, when I have time, are Artists Trading Cards (ATC) and Bottlecap art  . I want desperately to do altered books, but just haven't yet. I like to do beading and love to make jewelry and rosaries.
I'd love to sew, but my machine hates me.
I'd like to learn to knit.
Oh, and of course, the hairbows, but does that count since I sell them?

Is making babies a craft?
Seriously, any time I am pregnant all creative juices just leave me, although it's been better this time than other years (maybe it's the "boy" difference).
I like to digital scrapbook (I gave up on paper scrapbooking because I could never get it to look right). I can crochet and knit (a little) but have to be in the mood. I sew about as well as I knit but I do enjoy it when I make the time.

I really like to sew--I'm still a beginner, but I bought a new machine a few months ago, and that has made all the difference. Now I spend a lot of my free time at the machine.
I can also knit (just a knit stitch for scarves, though--nothing fancy! ), and I enjoy photography.

Too many that I don't get to do all of them. The rest of this year I'd like to finish up my sewing and get rid of my fabric stash. Next year I'll try to finish up my knitting and cross-stitch projects and get started again with scrapbooking (I have some supplies, but the actual scrapbooking hasn't been done since the late '90's).
After that, I'd really like to do some woodworking -- which I've been wanting to do forever, but no tools/time. And go back to sculpting, maybe this time work with wood (I only used to work with clay)....
I also used to do a bit of web design -- and now 16-yo dd wants to learn so I'll have to get back to it. But uh... is that a craft? Hmmm...

I am a stamper crafter---er, well, I used to be. Still have all the stuff, it's just collecting a bit of dust in the basement at present moment. 
My husband and I used to do wooden and floral Christmas crafts together and participated in numerous shows just about every weekend in Oct- Dec. Those days are gone now. We really enjoyed it, but it just got to be too much with his military assignments averaging 18 mos.or less. I still get all jittery and excited everytime I smell a glue gun though. But the best part is now instead of our weight allotment for household goods being taken up by saw equipment, it's taken up by books!

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention.. I'm a ribbon NUT!!! Not that ribbon in itself is a craft... buuut well, I,I use it for lots of different crafts. (yeah.. that's it, I use it for lots of different crafts.....)

I guess I'm a random crafter, too. I don't do anything well, but I like to dabble. I love fabric, felt and yarn and embroidery thread - and wish I could do more with them! But I'd say I like paper crafts most of all.
I'm kind of addicted to craft blogs and Martha Stewart/Mary Engelbreit magazines, so I guess I'm a wannabe.

Obsessed with knitting, will crochet in a pinch to 'get my yarn fix'. I love to hand sew, but my machine and I just don't speak the same language My MIL will be here over Thanksgiving (early Oct.), and she promised to give me some lessons if I'll fix some wonky knitting for her- seems like a fair trade
A related question- how many of you grew up in a 'crafty' home? My mom can use glue, and that's about the extent of her craftiness. My dad is a jack-of-all trades who grew up in a big ol' Irish farm family, where you were expected to be able to darn a sock as well as take care of the animals. The kids helped Grandma in the house until they were strong enough to 'graduate' to the barns and fields- boys and girls alike!
So it was my dad who taught me to sew and knit  His background of crafting was completely utilitarian, though, so I had to teach myself how to translate my creative ideas into a reality.

I use to crosstitch all the time...from highschool on till marriage. I sort of taught myself one summer with both parents at work and I was at home watching my younger brother. I have done a lot of big pictures...even gave them away as gifts (crazy I was...my mom said one time I'd regret giving those big ones away ). Since being married, for some reason, I just haven't really done anything with crosstitching.
Otherwise I'm definitely into the scrapbooking. I haven't done any in so so so long...I feel awful about that. I really need to start making time for that. I watch my dh make time for his guitar, but for some reason, I have a hard time carving that time out!
I use to stamp more...I have WAY too many stamp sets. My mom is a StampinUp demonstrator, so I've gotten a lot from her. I was feeling so gluttonous (is that a word?) about all the sets that I had and never used, I sold a bunch on ebay (in two summers of doing that, I've earned over $500...I kid you not...for about 40 sets or so-the money went to art class and drama class for the kiddos) Even after all that selling, still have about 40 sets! But my older dd is into the stamping more than me...so I'll keep some around for her.

All of them! I knit and crochet, sew and spin. Spinning is gathering dust because the kids frustrate me with messing up my spinning wheels! I like to (but rarely) embroider, and I have been known to do bobbin lace, but the kids messed that up to so it is in the 'when the kids get older' basket right now!
I want to learn to weave!

I love to make soap. My favourite craft But I also like to knit, crochet, make rosaries, quilt and sew. When I have time. But who has that? Although it seems I can always find time to soap. It's a terrible addiction . Oh and I like to make candles too.
I wish I was more into the crafty thing with the children. It's amazing what they can come up with on their own though if you just give them the supplies. All of my children are artistically inclined. This year I'm hoping to add some more 'formal' artsy stuff. if that's what you call it.

I like to sew. I used to have alot more time to do it. This year I am teaching my oldest to sew some simple skirts. Last year I discoved that I can knit! I bought a book and taught myself. I LOVE it. It is way more portable than sewing.
My Mom crochets, but I could never quite get the hang of it. She has taught my oldest girls how to crochet, but one of them already prefers knitting.
