Theresa I love that pocket - what an ingenious idea! I am SO going to do that!
And the pink corduroy at the bottom is just the right touch. I really like that fabric. I'm a sucker for flowers.
Question: Did you add interfacing to the handles? I forgot to do that the last time I made a tote and I didn't like how the handles got so floppy. Yours are nice and wide too - I think mine were too thin.
Well done!

Awww, shucks! They were just there staring me in the face and saying "Use me, I'm easy!" (Oh, that sounds naughty, doesn't it?)

Me, too. I need more cute floral fabric!

No, but I made them 3 layers thick in hopes that they would be tough enough.
I guess I need to go look up "interfacing" now, huh?

LOL! 3 layers sounds workable. Mine were piddly - really.

And don't forget the fusible (iron-on) interfacing. So much easier to work with then the kind you have to pin and sew on!

Anytime girlfriend. I'm a reasonable driving distance. I'll give you some sewing tips and you can teach me some serious nature study.
We're going on a hike tomorrow - boots and all! Everyone is excited and I'm not sure if it's for the nature or those boots!
Next week is Hawk Mountain - oh that will be so fun!
