Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

After my heart surgery it will be a few days before I can shower. I'm looking for a good dry shampoo that won't change the color of my hair and no heavy perfume scents.

Any recommendations? Homemade might work for me, if it's not too hard. I'm thinking dh might have to do this for me, because it will hurt to raise my arms, so ease of use is probably another factor to consider.

Devin (my daughter with dark hair) got me started on what she uses Psssst. Good news is you can find it at the corner drug store. Bed news is that it does smell...powedery? Perfumey? Definitely a distinct smell.

Love,

I've used both this dry shampoo and this brand. Both work well and have pleasant scents, not too strong. I found them in the same section as other products of the same brands, in other words they weren't in a separate section for dry shampoo. I linked to the amazon listings so you could get an idea what they look like. If you search for dry shampoo on amazon there are many other brands of dry shampoo and reviews, which are always helpful!

If you'd like something to help freshen up before you're able to shower these are nice ~ they smell pleasant & fresh, and offer quite a bit of coverage. Sams Club carries them. Other brands might come in smaller packages if 240 seems a bit much ~ although they come in handy on road trips or everyday freshening, too!

When my mom had heart surgery in May, my girlfriend, who is a hairstylist, recommended Got2be. I must admit, we didn't try it because she didn't really care the first two weeks. Then she was up to have it washed in the kitchen sink.
