Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Just wondering if any of you ladies might have an idea what might be going on.

My son has an egg allergy and a cat allergy. Twice in the last few days he has broken out in hives on his stomach. The first time I assumed it was the cat because for the first time ever the cat let my son pet him (the cat is afraid of my son LOL). But this morning the cat has been no where around. The only thing he was doing both times when he broke out was helping daddy with some pots of soil and seeds they are starting to be planted outside in the spring.

A quick search for potting soil and allergies showed that some could have peanut shells in it or molds. He has been allergy tested for both peanuts and molds and had no reaction though.

Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?? I am going to call the allergist today I think and see what she says.

Jamie

I thought about the eggshells but then it would be a contact reaction (on his hands or whereever he touched) I think. These hives are just on his stomach. So random!
