Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My dd 20mnths cut her lips top and bottom quite badly about a month ago and they have healed really well but there are little beads of scar tissue, particularly on her upper lip. I was wondering if anyone has found anything useful for diminishing scars? If I could just help to make my poor babies beautiful lips a little better it would be great

I found a salve that was a shea butter base with lavender and calmomile that was wonderful at reducing a huge scar from a burn my dd sustained. It came from a natural foods store. You had to warm the jar in a bowl of hot water to make the shea butter soft enough to gently spread over the affected area. I hope you can find or make something like that.

Peace,
Nancy

Thanks Nancy! I think I know where to find something like that.

I meant to ask too if anyone has tried bio oil with success?

I finally got to having a look for some Manuka honey and found out why I have never seen it before. It is not allowed for import into Western Australia.
But the lady I spoke to at the markets said Jarrah honey has more of what makes Manuka good, so I bought a little jar of it.

As a medicine for a little girls lips it's not the easiest. Even if I put it on when she's asleep she licks her lips til it's gone But I'm going to keep trying. It has helped with a pregnancy rash thing happening on my chin. And big mistake getting a small jar. Normally I don't like honey so I thought to get only a small quantity, but then I tasted it and it's the first time I have ever liked honey, I'm going to have to go back for the big jar

Got to get round to trying the other two remedies recommended, everything seems to be happening so slowly at the moment, but now my morning sickness seems to have finally gone, I might see some of that 2nd trimester energy soon ???

I second the vitamin E (and the other ideas too!). I know vitamin E is best started when the healing process is first starting - but can help anytime. The one time I didn't put any vitamin E on a wound (a surgical wound) is the only obvious scar tissue I have.

Good luck!
