I just got a call from the doctor that I didn't want to hear, high cholesterol, high triglycerides. Yuck.
I need some good, non distasteful, easy ways to have Fish oil and Omega 3. Can you recommend some thing to me.
Any other helpful advice would be appreciated, also.

Oatmeal (like, for breakfast) is supposed to be extremely helpful in bringing down cholesterol.
Kiwi fruit is high in Omega 3. (And it tastes better than seal oil, which is also high in Omega 3...I smelled seal oil in Canada... )

Eat wild Alaskan salmon! It's the tastiest way I know to get those yummy Omega 3's!

Found the chart...it also says...
Beans
Cantaloupe
Chestnuts
Figs

Prunes
Tomatoes
Walnuts (guess any kind of nut)

yes flax seed as long as it's ground.. if you eat it without doing something to break the covering of the seed they just pass through.
You can get flax seed oil that you can add to a smoothie easy enough

The big joke in our family is that you have to take up a "nuts and berries" diet.
Some of the foods mentioned just would be so...well, painful. Way too much fiber! Without going into details, I'll just say I can't do too much. Adding very, very gradually might be less uncomfortable.

yes definately.. anytime you add high fiber foods go slowly and let your body adjust..
the flax seed oil would NOT cause those type of problems while I said you could add it to a smoothie, you can just swallow your T of it and chase it with something to drink and be done with it too. There are definately times that I find "taking a pill" type of thing to just make it easier to get consistently get everything in.
I'll be doing that here soon.. getting tinctures for before and after birth from my midwife.. I just can't consistently drink the teas but a tincture that I can wash down with whatever I'm drinking (usually water) I can take consistently and sometimes that's more important than getting it a more "natural" way.
