Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone else besides me have this problem?
I seem to have huge pores,(and sensitive skin) so there are red dots all over. I also get lovely veins when I'm pregnant and they don't all leave afterwards. They are horribly white. Self-tanning lotion doesn't seem to help. Mosquito bites will turn into sores, which will then remain as a scar for what seems like forever. Is there anything that anyone knows of to help improve what one's legs look like? I feel so sorry for my dh...

You have just described my legs (except for the veins).   I have super sensitive skin, so whenever I shave my legs I have what looks like a rash all over my thighs. It's awful. I've tried using Nair instead of shaving, but it burned and my legs still ended up looking awful.

I'm no help--I've tried special shaving creams and lotions and so far, nothing's worked. I'll keep my eyes on this thread in hopes of finding something that will help!

White is beautiful. Really. After struggling to get that little tan, I've now relaxed. It is a frame of mind, and now when I see tan people I'm a little startled, as it looks "funny" to me.

You described me, also, except for the veins. I do things like lightly exfoliate (I get ingrown hairs easily), lots of moisturizer, try not to use dull razors (I've read that the triple blades are helpful), use shaving cream or hair conditioner (let it set a bit).

Moisturize, use some Vitamin E or other products. Mederma is one being advertised. I think Vermont Country Store sells similar items.

And lately I have found age spots on my legs! So I've been adding skin lightening cream (I use from Paula's Choice).

I do what I can, and I work on areas that I can make an improvement, like my heels and toes.

I only shave to my knees because of sensitive skin.. up to my knees works.. above my knees.. it's horrible.

Aloe can make a nice "lotion" for your legs which will help with any healing spots needs need.

And remember that if you stop shaving you will go through a period of time when the hairs are prickly.. but as they get a bit longer the hair will be nice and soft.. not icky at all.. just not "mainstream" thought on what makes for soft legs.

I have one ugly leg I was in a car accident in my early twenties and the whole dash crashed into my shin and split my muscle. I have a nice dark scar. I am grateful to be alive but this is the reminder I have daily.
I am so self concious when I wear skirts or dresses. Sometimes more than others.

My legs are the same. I don't know anyone who gets such awful scars from bites on the legs. I have scars going back to childhood flea bites, a nice memory of the Tigger the cat I seldom bother to shave my legs, as I have practically transparent hair, but when I do I use my DH's razors which have lots of blades and seem to work so much better than women's ones (with his permission!) I use home made herbal oil on my skin (chamomile, lavender and calendula) which helps with scars and reducing rashes etc, adding plenty of moisture. I've also been using plaintain salve on any bites which has been a godsend.

My mom has gotten this for years and was recently diagnosed with Cellulitis. I'm now starting to get it, too.

A few years ago I used to use 88% lactic acid, diluted with a little water, every 6 months on my thighs.. it burns, it peels, and then it reveals baby fresh skin... most of my red scars were gone...I would get it from gardenofwisdom.com
eta: I wouldn't use it on sensitive skin, though... but it sure does make those marks go away

Amlactin is something my husband uses for his skin problem, and I use it occasionally for my skin problems.
