Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone tried this? Prevention magazine is advertising a cookbook with recipes that are supposed to promote eating this way (whatever this way is ) Of course the book is very tempting, but I"m not sure I want to buy it; but, on the other hand, a fresh look at some new recipes may be the kick in the pants I need ( Umm... I meant "the inspiration I need"). Thoughts?

Peace,
Nancy

Sounds like another gimick to sell a book

But if you're looking for that type of recipe.. then it might certainly be a fun thing to get.. have you checked your library? or a local bookstore so that you can browse it before buying?

Okay I'll admit, I bought it and started it. I did their first 4 days thing, not nearly as yucky as when I tried the Fat Flush Plan. Anyways, after those first 4 days I did lose 8 lbs! But it was all water, so it came back pretty quick. And I must admit, I felt great too with all the bloat gone! It has some good ideas, like adding more avocados, olives and such to your diet. I petered off of it though. I don't do well doing a "special" diet with kids.
Oh and one bonus...you are suppose to eat chocolate! dark ofcourse!

I heard that if you work on the gut and digestion internally that you will lose that area. I am asking my friend to get me that research....

I tried this, got the book from the library. I couldn't get through the four day jump start because it made me so painfully bloated, not to mention hungry, that I was miserable.

It was lots of things like turkey cold cuts, cucumbers, rice crispies cereal, prunes, cheese, sunflower seeds, etc. Just didn't work for me.

The dark chocolate was a nice touch!
