Hi All,
Has anyone had problems with head-to-toe muscle and joint pain following pregnancy? I'm 40 and gave birth to blessing #5 over 6 months ago. Off and on since i've been in such pain that I can barely move and limp around the house until I take Motrin. The Motrin just takes the edge off and allows me to reasonably function. When it wears off, the pain returns. I'm on thyroid (since 1999) meds and have had blood work recently...all normal. I had similar pain following baby #4 so i'm thinking hormones???    Also, there are parts of my body that hurt worse than others but the pain rotates every few days. I see my doc on Wednesday. Any ideas/others with this experience?

no ideas on the reasons... but if motrin helps.. Bromelain (pineapple) would likely help and would be something that you might feel better about taking.. ginger with it would be even better but higher doses of ginger aren't recommended for pregnancy so you'd want to know where you stood with that.
