Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone experienced this? I stopped bleeding at 6 wks postpartum, 3 wks ago. I just began bleeding again. I don't know if it's turning heavy or just going to stay a small amt. But I was wondering if I need to call my midwife? On my other 2 pregs. I returned to menses at 7 mo postpartum, and this time I'm nursing two, so nursing more than ever. I wouldn't think it was a period, but maybe it is? Anyone get them back earlier in later pregnancies. Or could it be a bit of residual postpartum bleeding? I HAVE had a bit of light cramping during the last week, but no other menstrual symptoms.

Any ideas, advice?

Happens to me every single time . Dial back on the activity and it will stop.I don't think it's a period. I have this happen and then I really start cycling around 13 months.

I agree with Elizabeth.. doesn't seem like it would be a period considering your history so slowing down and resting more should take care of it.

But just on the off chance.. it is possible to have cycles resume by then even with nursing and tandem nursing. Mine have returned every time between 7.5-8.5 weeks... umm that's from the birth. they haven't been ovulatory (for the first few months) but it's definately cyclical bleeding.

Please rest! With my last baby I bled for 10 weeks and when my periods returned at 18 months they were awful. (25+ day periods per month!) I had developed Adenomyosis and at 2 years postpartum I had to have a hysterctomy. I'm not sure whether resting would have helped, but I wish I hadn't been so Up-and-At-Em after all my pregnancies.
