Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am dealing with some persistent nausea and exhaustion, and just an overall feeling of weakess. Last week, I would have sworn that I was pregnant, but I am not.

Anyone go through this? Any ideas? I tend to let my imagination run wild and conjure up all types of diseases. At the same time, I am trying to calm myself by saying I am probably just run down.

Oh my gosh!
This happened to me a few months ago -- my husband and other people even asked me if I was preg. when I would complain about the nausea and the generally just sick feeling. Smells even bothered me, like they do when I'm preg! It was totally wierd. And my cycles had been totally messed up too -- sometimes non-ovulating and super short.
Sorry, Molly I have no help to offer. I just wanted to say that it happened to me too and then just went away after a two weeks or so. . .
I hope you feel better!

Molly,

I think some of it has to do with our age, and inconsistent hormones. The nausea and exhaustion in early pregnancy is usually because of the high progesterone levels at that time. I've had the same feelings, and not be pregnant. It could have been an early miscarriage, too.

I've also had this feeling when taking progesterone supplements, "feeling" pregnant even though I wasn't.

wacky hormones is what it sounds like..

red raspberry leaf can help normalize hormones.. and be sure you're taking vitamins.

I had something like that happen a couple of months ago and one other time a year or so ago. ...nausea, fatigue, emotion swings, the whole lot.    It went away after a couple of weeks and now I'm thinking..... perimenopause. But if it keeps up or gets worse you should probably get it checked out just in case you have some underlying hormonal imbalance or nutritional deficiency.

I too have had this every once in a while and I keep running to the store buying pregnancy tests.    Mine always has happened right before my period starts. I think mine is perimenopause because I am having other symptoms.

Jodie,
what red raspberry product do you use? should I just buy a tea or loose tea or what?

I am still going through this almost every month. This month I can barely stand I am so nauseous and weak! It's 93 degrees and I have a baseball game to go to. Ugh! If I am going to feel this badly, I should at least be doing it for a good reason!

I get mine loose from http://www.herbalcom.com

as long as it's red raspberry LEAF not a raspberry flavored tea, it should work.

You might also be able to find it in capsules at a health food store.. I like that because I don't have to manage to drink the tea.. and when I'm feeling off and should take it is also when I feel contrary and don't wanna! Easier to get the pills down and let them work

Molly--This happened to me often when my cycle returned last time...and I always thought I was pregnant. Then I had an early pregnancy loss and the next month, when I was pregnant, I started spotting. My progesterone levels were low when I went to the doc and I had to take progesterone for the first weeks of this pregnancy. I've never had this problem before and I am not an age for perimenopause. So it could be that your progesterone/estrogen balance is out of whack.

This happens to me also. I am 32 and my monthly returned about 5 months ago and it is just not regular anymore. I thought it was because I am still nursing my 18 month old. But yes I have the whole pregnancy feeling going on also. It is driving me nuts. I am charting and even that just tells me that I am not regular anymore.
I can't consider myself peri because I still get my monthly just either too early or late, and my ovulation is just off also. I am still new to charting so I am not sure when I definitly have a non ovulatory cycle. I guess I have to read up on that term.
So my point is yes you are not alone.

This happened to me this month, too, Molly! I wasted three pregnancy tests (thank goodness, they were from Dollar Tree)....I still feel nausesated today...it is light like I usually feel in the very beginning of my first trimester...it is totally frustrating!!

It is probably hormonal for me...and I will try the red raspberry leaf tea...I don't have any other signs of perimenopause and my cycles are regular, so hopefully the tea will help!!

Glad to know that I am not alone....

Molly or anyone else,

Have you tried the Red Raspberry leaf and has it helped? I am having nausea before some of my cycles. I just thought for sure I was pregnant this month but am not. I need something.

I have been drinking the red raspberry tea, when I remember, and I think it may be helping. Last month, I didn't go through all the nausea, so I started to think I really was pregnant! This month I am nauseous and tired again.

I am taking Armour Thyroid now and seem to be feeling less exhausted on a daily basis. So, even though I am more tired this week, it isn't as debilitating as in past months. I fought against going on any thyroid meds, but now that I am taking it, I can already feel a difference in my life.
