Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

First, let me say we had our 22 week ultrasound and are expecting our FIRST BOY! He was healthy and beautiful in every way.

However, my placenta is sitting right on my cervix. I'm a former OB nurse so I'm very familiar with what that means now and potentially later. But I'd love to hear from any of you who had this and whose placenta migrated enough that you were able to have a "natural" delivery. If this doesn't change, I'm looking at my first c-section.

Congratulations Martha - I am so pleased for you. I was praying for you this morning!

Last pregnancy I had a low lying placenta - I had follow up sonograms - and it had moved by 28 weeks.

Talk to Elizabeth. Also I think Jen(jenmack) and JennGM.

I will continue my prayers.

Martha - I'm jenmack!

I've had a complete previa with a accreta which resulted in a C-section (my 2nd pregnancy) and then 3 pregnancies later (the baby I just had 10 months ago) I had a low lying placenta that was quite stubborn but finally moved up! My subsequent deliveries following that C have all been VBAC's thanks be to God!

So, many prayers coming your way that this placenta moves!! Keep us posted.

If you want more details, feel free to pm me.

With this one, I had partial previa which was tipped off to me by 14 and 16 week bleeding. I had no more bleeding after 16 weeks, with normal activity. Ultrasound last Saturday at 36 weeks showed the placenta is now laying up past her head!    I have read there is a 90% chance that partial/low laying at 20 weeks is fine at delivery.

I had previa with my last baby and it was diagnosed at a ultrasound around 20 weeks. I had several u/s after so they could watch it and mine did move up and I was able to deliver by VBAC. I didn't have any bleeding but I did have to be on pelvic rest. Bleeding is a definate problem so if you have any you need to tell your dr.
Congrats on your boy!
