Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am 42. My cycle is 28 days but this month I am late by 10 days. I every once in awhile have pains like my period is going to start but it does not. I just had my yearly about 6 months ago and all was well including blood work which all came back normal. Should I be worried about not starting and go to the dr or just wait awhile and see? What would you do?
Thanks,

Did you take a pregnancy test? I would probably wait a bit even if a preg test was negative.. because I've gotten false negatives before with one pregnancy.

I have heard the term "phantom period" as they become irregular during perimenopause. I have had those several times as mine have slowly gone away (I am several years older than you are.) It could be that but if you want to be sure you may want to check it out with your provider. I think it has to do with fluctuating hormone levels as we get older.
