Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have slowly started to become allergic to antibiotics. I have a chronic urological condition (infection) and my doctor has wanted me to take an antibiotic for one week a month to keep it in check. However, the past two I have taken have made me feel itchy all over and the last one gave me a sore, swollen throat. I talked to his nurse today and she told me I have run through all the antibiotics they use for my condition. I am supposed to take a supplement called TheraCran (cranberry) and if I have really bad symptoms, call them and come in for a lab appointment. This is a concern to me as I wonder what I am in store for in the future with using an antibiotic when I really need one. Does anyone have any ideas about what causes this or what I can do to avoid taking one in the future? Anything natural that works? I do eat well and already take several vitamins and supplements. Thanks!
Anne

there's a number of herbs with antibiotic properties.. garlic, oregon grape root, golden seal

there's also grapefruit seed extract (lots of precautions of medications that react with grapefruit)

and there's colloidal silver

I don't know anything about your condition so you'd want to look into these before you try them so that you can elminate any that would be bad for you.

Vitamin C helps with allergic reactions.. your body uses it up with every reaction.. even drawing it out of your bones.. taking extra can help control allergic reactions.. I only use it for hay fever type stuff but for that it works wonderfully, I've been able to control my symptoms without any other meds.
