Does anyone have a cleanser or makeup or other skin products that she can recommend for a woman with rosacea? I'm pretty sure I should stop using my current soap, but I am not sure what I should use.

Thanks!

In Christ,
Deborah

Nina,

I'll look. I also just got a recommendation from the dermatologist's PA -- Physician's Formula or something like that (I have a terrible audial memory).

Thanks.

In Christ,
Deborah

I'm interested, too - my doc didn't suggest I switch soaps, but I certainly need all the makeup help I can get.

Oh!

I forgot to mention the first recommendation the doctor gave me: "Get sunglasses." Apparently, people with rosacea are much more likely to get cataracts. So I got prescription sunglasses which is something I had always considered a luxury. Maybe they will help me avoid macular degeneration which my mother has as well.....

In Christ,
Deborah

Really.

Bummer. I hate sunglasses. But, I have to say...my mom, who has rosacea, also had cataracts.

My mom has had cataracts IIRC. (Her vision has always been so bad that I am not absolutely sure, but I do think she had 'em.) Well, here's to avoiding cataracts and macular degeneration!

I do have to say that I think my new sunglasses are kind of dorky looking. (An antidote to vanity, I suppose.) However, since the purpose is to protect my eyes, the lenses are relatively large.
