Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I wasn't sure where to post this, because my girls don't have anything 'wrong' with their skin. So this is a 'wellness' question.
I am wanting a natural cream to rub on their skin. Also maybe a calming cream like maybe lavender. My one daughter in particular has emotional issues so I am using it for massaging her and I don't want any unnatural ingredients in it.
Thank you-
Love,
Margaret

Have you tried an oil instead of a cream? My infant massage instructor uses grapeseed oil with a drop of almond essential oil. Not sure of the ratio (though, I'm pretty sure its a large container of the grapeseed oil).

You could find the carrier oil that you like and then add whatever essential oil you wanted like lavendar or some other aroma therapy scent that seems preferred or relevant.

Coconut oil is also a nice moisturizer, and a lot of people use olive oil on their skin, but that would make me think of a salad (the smell). Many have the philosophy that they wouldn't put anything on their skin that they wouldn't eat since the skin absorbs so much.

Mountain Rose Herb has a whole section of carrier oils to choose from.

We used avocado oil on our son when he was an infant. It didnt' have much of a smell so you could probably scent it with lavendar for calming or something. I think we read that kids can absorb fatty acids from avocado oil. We bought it at our natural foods co-op here--I think Hain brand makes it.

almond oil (no scent) is a common and not too expensive carrier oil

jojoba is supposed to be very good for your skin too.

Extra Virgin Olive oil works great. If you heat it ever so gently in a preferably glass (though stainless will work well as well) pot and then shave natural beeswax into it until it is the desired texture (check this by dipping a plastic spoon in to the mixture and letting it cool on the spoon). Pour it into a jar and you have a ready made salve.

If you want to add a scent you can do that right after warming.

If you want it herb infused....place oil in crockpot with herbs and put at low temp for 4-6 hours. Strain and follow above directions, making sure the warming is very gentle!

We use baby food jars for the completed salves and decorate them with homemade watercolored labels!
