Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

angie -- this is a GREAT option. I wonder if it's only buckwheat honey or could you use other kind. An dsince the study was over 2 year-olds, I guess there is still the concern with < 1 yo getting honey? But I always hated to give DM so thrilled that there may be a better option.

I'm wondering the same things...it looks like buckwheat honey is a bit thicker, more like molasses? Anyway, I was in a rush when I posted but looked up the article because my dd's Physician's Assistant recommended honey for her cough today based on "the latest research." I googled buckwheat honey and just might give it a try:)...anything to get a break from this racket!

Love,

I LOOOOOVE honey as a remedy. I will never forget when I was hit w/laryngitis right before a big vocal competition in high school. My choir director told me to rest as much as possible, drink tea, and, on the day of the competition eat spoonfuls of honey! I followed her recommendations, and the day of the competition I was able to sing. What's more, I sang well enough to qualify for the state chorus. So, since then, I've been convinced of the goodness of honey. Don't know if it was buckwheat or not, but it worked!
