I know it has been mentioned by some that they give their newborns Arnica immediately following birth. What form and strength do you use?

What other homeopathics and/or herbs do you use during and after labor for yourself and baby?

I dont' know about giving the newborn arnica but I most definately give it to myself.. as close to after birth as possible.. the difference in amount of bleeding I've experienced is amazing.. sooooo much better with arnica.

I also use pineapple/bromelain. Reduces swelling and speeds healing of soft tissue injury (including bruising)

Rescue Remedy is great for labor -- and totally safe. It helps you relax and not panic!

Afterwards, Magnesium Phosphorica (I think that's the name?) helps with nursing cramps. Pulsitilla is one for emotional/hormonal wrecks with the key word being "weepy."

And yes, arnica for yourself is good!

oh..

and calcium for the after pains too.. calcium helps the muscle contract smoothly so it helps with the cramping even though the contracting keeps going.
