Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

So here's the deal.

I am 35 years old. Baby is almost 8 months olds. Normal periods, though on the long side with ovulation somewhere around day 21. Cycles have not returned, though I think I'm ramping up to ovulate (based on symptoms) since baby has really taken to eating this past week. She sleeps through the night too.

Problem...absolutely no libido. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy being with my husband and have no problems once we "get into it" (sorry for tmi). But day to day, week to week I don't really feel "desire", I guess on a physiological level. I hope I'm making sense. Bottom line, I'm not happy about it and it is straining our marriage, not because I ever turn dh down when he approaches me, but he's upset because I never seem to want to, that is seek him out in a way that leaves him feeling wanted. When I do initiate intimacy he says I'm to "medicinal" about it. To complicate things a bit more, my husband's diabetes is affecting him in ways...well...that no ,man would like. He has medication for this, but it messes with any sense of spontaneity.

Any experience? Remedies?

I'll be honest--you have 7 children. That is tiring. Chances are, you are normal, and just tired--that's enough to throw spontanaiety out of the window, even without any complicating issues.

Shoot, I've only got 5 (of course, two of them are only 8 days old, but still, lol), and I can't imagine feeling like (pardon me) "jumping DH"....even with three, we had to make special efforts...

Perhaps there are some ladies here who can simply turn it on, but I'm not one of them...lol. I really have to think myself up to it all day long if I want to be "spontaneous" that evening (I know, I know, is it really spontaneous if I have to think on it all day long? LOL).

((HUGS))
