Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I posted a couple of days back on my blog about a great toy I got for my dd which is working out beautifully for sensorial work.
Scroll down a bit inthis post until you come upon pictures of the 3D Feel and Find by Guidecraft. We are thrilled to death with this material! The kids love working with it, from the 3yo on up to the 11 yo! I got mine from Gummylump, but don't see it on their site any more. I think they were out of it for awhile, but now have it in stock (you might try calling them-they are so good to do business with).
Anyway, just wanted to share that here in case anyone missed it on my blog. It really is a great item!
And, while we are at it, anyone else have any great new finds to share?

We have the same toy and the kids love it. For some reason the little green evergreen type tree is their favorite, and it is a big deal to find that one in the bag. We got ours from Discount School Supply.

I was able to get it real cheap at the local Marshals...(same chain as TJ Maxx and Home Goods) I was there the other day and was able to get a few wood sorting toys from Guidecraft reeeal cheap...less than 7. ea.

Here is the link for the Discount School Supply one. I love this store btw!

My kids love this toy as well. When they are younger we will take just a few of the tiles and lay them out and put the pieces in the bag and have them find the right ones without looking. We do lots of other things with this too...always a lot of fun!

Did I mention I looove wooden toys...especially toys that teach!

Theresa -

My youngers loved this toy as well. Another idea for the sorting, matching thing that we used was a sack of mixed nuts (in shells). My favorite sensorial experience has got to be the food all over the face! Is it chocolate ice cream?

Peace,
Nancy

Guess where Guidecraft is... About a mile from my house. They used to have sales and we could go in and buy their products. I have 2 different cubbie storage systems and lots of other items. I sure wish they still did this.

LOL we got really good deals!!! Like really, really, really good deals. Maybe that's why they dont do it anymore.    People would be lined up before they opened the doors and it could get a big aggressive!
