Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

OK, first off, I am not a die-hard traditional Montessorian. I like to pick and choose certain materials that are good for presenting certain concepts.

Anyway, since I'm rather busy today and don't have the time to search for higher-level math materials that might be helpful for older kids, I thought I'd ask here.

My two oldest are working with mutiple digit multiplication. They seemed to be getting it when multiplying double digits by double digits. However, now they seem to be confused by the triple digits.

Is there any kind of MOntessori material available for this type of work? I'm guessing the flat bead frame, but I don't know that much about it. Would someone with experience steer me in the right direction, please??? I think they need some hands on stuff before they leap into the abstraction with paper and pencil only.

Thanks,
Valerie
