Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We're preparing to leave in about 4 weeks. So I'm going through our stuff and I realize we hardly kept any baby toys! In fact, I have yet to find ONE!

So I'd like to shop for some, but have to keep it at a minimum... I've been browsing at Amazon and I am just *stunned and bewildered* at the vast array of choices (don't remember having that many choices with our last baby!). And now there's also the no-lead, no MIC to consider... We'll be in Italy 'til the baby's 1 or almost 1, so I also need things that he'll be using longer than 3 months. What are your favorite toys that are also travel-friendly?

Car seat toys/baby gym suggestions are also welcome.

Thanks!!

Oh yes, we like the Haba ones too.. I got one that was a little car type thing with rings that moved so it could roll or rattle and be chewed on.

some sort of ball that the little babies can grab but the older babies still like..

a stuffed toy that "crinkles" is nice.. and/or had an easy to chew on part.. likea beak or foot or leg.. it's soft.. the noise isn't loud.. the little babies like it and the older ones don't grow out of the stuffed toy.

older babies love plastic bowls and wooden spoons and boxes and bags.. so you can supply more play things as baby gets older without buying toys

our hands-down favorite for the car is a red "chew toy" from Discovery Toys (esp. ages 4-9 months)
