Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am looking for game suggestions for my dd who is about to turn 4. My dh would like it to be a game that is not made in China. I know many (but not all) HABA games are made in Germany -- does anyone have a suggestion for a game that has been a hit with their family?

Hi Margaret,

We're huge HABA fans here. My 4 yo loves Tier Auf Tier, a wobbly animal stacking game, the building block sets (loads to choose from), the travel-sized matching games in a tin (Mini-Memo), and the Rainbow Timber classical stacking game where each player has to remove a block without making the tower fall.

We've owned a number of items for several years now, and they all still look brand new! We've had great success buying them from here

Happy shopping

Tracy

Oh - the bunny one! Wait, that is actually a Selecta game - but it is also a German game/toy company. Here is the Bunny Game.

For a very young child, the Good Night Game from Haba.

Oh! also the snail one...which is actually a Ravensburger Game - but is fun & simple for a young child. Here it is...

We have many more Haba & Selecta games. We love them!

We have a wooden egg and spoon race. Very cute. There are a whole bunch of shapes (little balls, rings, a little frog and more) that they can try balancing on the spoon, not just the egg. My daughter got it for her 4th birthday in October.

Haba's "Orchard" game is also really cute and fun. It can be played cooperatively or not. And we have an adorable one that Montessori Services sells called "Piccobello", where you hang laundry on the line. We also like "Snails Pace Race" (Ravensburger?), and a French one called "Hop Hop Hop!"

HTH!
