I did my first presentation today from Moira Farrell's Home Catechesis 3-6. My ds was REALLY into it--he is almost 10. He wanted to continue on with the lessons and introduce more things to the altar. I am not quite ready to do the next lessons yet--I need to study.
DD, who is almost 5, did OK. She paid attention most of the time--that was a key thing. They had to process with the crucifix and candles, it was cute.
What a neat experience. I am looking forward to doing more.
Thanks for all your help. I am sure I will have more questions in the future.

Excellent! I was doing altar presentation 2 last week with dd (6) and ds(12) couldn't help but join in. And he is an altar boy so you'd think it wouldn't be a big deal for him, but this stuff is just so attractive!

I'm so glad to hear that your almost 10 year old loved the presentation. I'm getting ready to do the first presentation (altar work) this week, too, and my oldest is 10. I am hoping that it goes well.
