Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I wanted to buy some today to get ready to make some pink reading materials, and the poster board was as flimsy and flopsy as a wet noodle! It's been maybe two years since I bought any, and I don't remember it as being so insubstantial. I think my white cardstock is heavier stuff.

You and me both! I was just saying the same thing the other day when I looked at this stuff. It seems to get thinner and thinner. I remember back in the day when we had the real stuff to make election posters with in jr. high. But then again, that was back in the 70's...

Where did you buy it? I bought some pink poster board at Hobby Lobby in their art section and it was pretty decent ... but then, maybe I don't know what I've missed out on!?

I was in Office Depot. I could buy plain white by the sheet, or a pack with some white and some neon colors. Wow- that fluorescent pink is *bright*. But I wound up not buying any- it was just too flimsy

Hobby Lobby has a bunch of different thicknesses of mat board (I think that is what it is called) because they frame pictures. Now, my inexperienced self cannot tell the difference between some of this and better quality poster board. I'd think anywhere that framed pictures would have some higher quality board to use.

I've notived that quality and thickness have drastically dropped. I have some old posterboard used in our parish nursery 10 years ago and it's SO thick, I was able to cover it in a thin sheet of construction paper (another item that has gotten thinner!) and make sandpaper letters out of it. I can't do that with today's available supply of posterboard....

I've not looked at Hobby Lobby, but I'll look into that sometime this coming week as I do need some thicker stuff if I can find it (so I don't have to double-layer upcoming projects).

Our Hobby Lobby had thicker posterboard in some colors - but now pink. We even found some decent poster in Wal-Mart - but you have to look in out of the way corners. The organization of the store is ridiculous. They have really flimsy poster board one place and then limited colors in better thicknesses. Yikes. We ended up with really flimsy poster board and hoping that laminations will thicken it substantially.
