Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

from M'n'S? The cute little blue and white set that comes with the white tray? Well, that would be me. I was washing it out in the sink, and conked it on the edge of our granite counter top on its way back onto the tray. I can't believe it! I was worried about the kids, but all of them have had turns with it and nothing happened.

That's when you make it into a whole new lesson: see, kids, this is what can happen....

Bless your heart! Sounds about like me too. I've been trying to really instill that "respect for materials" around here. I know how you feel!

Well that sounds just like me - except with me it was our fancy dinner plates. We have a set we bring out for Christmas, Easter, Pentecost and First Sacraments and I won't let the dc even clear their places (they love it since this is a big treat to them, no kitchen work for the high feast days). We had just enough plates for the whole family. None of the children have ever broken any even when they have helped clear and wash - I broke one trying to wash it. Now I'm hoping to find a replacement in the thrift stores.

Janet, why don't you tell us the pattern and we'll keep a lookout? I'm always searching for china at our local thrift stores.

There's also the replacement services, like the one here

What a bummer! I hope you can replace it sometime! That sounds like a great tradition.
