Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I made a set of cards for my continent boxes and thought I'd share here. It is photos of mothers and babies from each continent (except Antarctica, of course).
It is a large file (1.5 megs) but I think it turned out nice.
Get it here if you like:mothers and babies
Feel free to format it as you please.

They are beautiful. The child from Asia on the second last page is captivating.

I made another file with landmarks from all 7 continents. It is an even larger file (3.1Mg)but I think it is going to work great for my continent folders.
If anyone wants it:world landmarks

I can't wait to get home and print them up and laminate them!

Theresa - These are SO AWESOME! I love these cards! Thank you so much again for sharing!   These are definitely going in my continent boxes, and I can see these springboarding so many great discussions with my older children! I absolutely love these! Thanks.

Theresa,
I absolutely LOVE the landmark cards...they are great! I was just visiting National Geographic the other day and came across the article announcing the new 7 Wonders of the World.

Goodness, I hope I have enough ink and laminate to get through your file.

Amazing Theresa! I love the landmark cards!

Of course I literally yesterday ordered a set from Montessori Services

I figure between yours and theirs...I'm sure I'll be covered. I'm going to be doing a geography class next year for 5th grade and up and I'm going to find a way to incorporate these great cards! I'm sure we can make some good games with them!

Thanks!

Thanks, ladies! You are too sweet!
I actually have plans for a couple more sets. I am working on them late at night. This "midnight sun" business keeps me going until way too late!

Thank you, thank you!

I have been trying to make some cards from each continent, and I'm having such trouble resizing pictures. I had hoped to get at least one continent done and post it, but no luck so far. Thanks so much for all your hard work!

Wow, thank you!

The pictures of buildings are beautiful... and I'm learning so much from them myself!   The Ethiopian one is amazing... at the risk of sounding like a total nerd, it reminds me of something from "Myst."
