I wanted to pipe in here with my experience ordering from Alison's...

I placed an order, then I went back and added to it, which they kindly let me do without treating it as a new order with new shipping fees. Then they needed my cc# again for the add on, and even though they couldn't reach me by phone (I was at the neighborhood pool with the kids), they went ahead and shipped out my whole order on the waiting UPS truck so I would get it sooner, trusting that I would get back to them with my cc#.

AND...one of the clearance maps I ordered had a scratch on it, and rather than ship out something I might be unhappy with, they gave me a brand new map of India, complete with control charts, for the clearance price. I was so grateful.

I also asked about the $300 miniature Montessori set so many of us have been looking at, and the man told me that was an idea they got from a European trade show that has been wildly popular. They brought the idea home with them and found a manufacturer to make a miniature set for them to sell in the US. In addition to many homeschooling families, many schools also purchase this set. They originally thought it would be ideal for New Yorkers living in small spaces in the city, but the idea has really caught on. They call it their "Montessori in a box". A 55 lb box!

Anyway, I'm still waiting for my materials, but I give them an A plus for customer service.
