I was perusing the net and thought you might like to read Maria Montessori Misunderstood Genius...Elizabeth Foss is quoted in the article too. I thought it was good food for thought!

It's a little teeny quote from 1998. "Maria Montessori was a devout Catholic, so a lot of her theories are steeped in her faith (Foss, 1998, p.1)" I'm not even sure what the original document was and apparently I wrote it. Page 1 of what??

Elizabeth,
I just did a fun little search and found the article (using the wayback machine )
I think the blog author got your quote from
this article on Maria Montessori.
That article got referenced this article, "Maria Montessori Provides Wisdom for Raising Children" by you. Although it originally appeared in the Herald, the "quoter" refered to page 1 because there was only 1 internet page on the now transporter.com website.
Clear as mud?

Hey thanks! Since I had no idea that was out there, it sort of makes one wonder about this, at the end of the article:
Elizabeth Foss is a freelance writer living in South Riding, Virginia. This article originally appeared in the Arlington Catholic Herald. Used with permission.
Wonder who granted permission? I hold the copyright. And it sort of makes me feel really silly for not coming right out and naming my town in the "Loudoun County" thread on the these boards. This is such a good example of the things we're discussing in the FIAR website thread.
It was fun to read that article again. Natia and I used to have such interesting conversations while we watched our kids play. Now we pretty much only have time to smile wearily at each other across the pews. I think I'll give her a call!
The wayback machine is pretty cool!
