Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Now is a great time to buy a small inflatable pool to use as a sensory table this winter. I have a small house so the inflatable pool works great; deflate and stick it in a drawer when not in use.

What a great idea Melissa! I love this for winter time activities and you are right, the little baby pools are really cheap right now!! Thanks for chiming in here.

What kinds of things do you ususally use for your sensory tables. Is it with or without water?? I'm just curious as to how you actaully implement it for indoors! Thanks a bunch!

So far I've only done the basics; rice, different pasta shapes, packing peanuts and some toys (all very easy to clean up). If you google "sensory table" you will find a ton of lists with a lot of good ideas.

When I taught Head Start, we did all sorts of fun, messy stuff. Corn starch and water, sand, bubbles, all things I've not been brave enough to try at home .

If you are worried about the floors, a couple cheap shower curtains or table cloths under the pool will help.

Hope that helps!!

I was just thinking of picking one up the other day, thanks for the reminder. I LOVE this idea for the littles outside. (the really messy stuff) I think I will actually brave this soon. Thanks for the reminder!

Great suggestions Melissa and I forgot about the *google* tool I'm off there now!! I need to loosen up on the messystuff as well, and summer is a great time for that

Blessings!
