Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Cecilia, you might also try bumping one of the older topics so that those who were participating in the thread get a notice. The boards have been a little slow with the start of the new school year, and those who use the program might not see this.

We tried it in 2010 (Petty School) and did not stay with them, for several reasons.

For the cost, I expected more hand holding and support. A lot of the drill sheets and flashcards for studying in between lessons you had to make yourself for the tests.

The material could be dry and I felt the petty school religion was not age appropriate.

Mr. Michael also has some very strong opinions on child-rearing and education and didn't seem to tolerate well other ways of doing things-- there were some heated discussions on the old message boards which were eventually taken down a few years ago.

I haven't checked it out since then, so I don't know what all has changed.

Basically, it wasn't a good fit for us.

No help from me- but nice to see you posting RosesinSummer. Did you ever get your house worked out? I remember you were moving or planning to...

Yes, we did end up moving. We've been here almost 4 years now. Had a baby in 2010 and my mom now lives with us. It's all good.
