I just wanted to post about the new Classical Ed. book just about to come out.
It is called:
The Latin Centered Curriculum, and is about Classical Education designed along the lines of the traditional Classical Education from times past. You can read more about it at the link above

I'd like to add that I have been dipping into the draft of this book since last summer and it is very appealing. Though the author's daughter is still very young and he doesn't have "pratical" experience the outline is simple, easy enough for those of us working with multiple ages and abilities. Not that I feel ready to tackle Greek!

I was also able to download his first draft before parts were pulled in anticipation of publication...Campbell believes in "Less is More" and that shows throughout the book. I'm very excited to receive a "real" copy. I also enjoy Campbell's blog- Mungo's Mathoms. His curriculum plan is very similar to what is used at Highlands Latin School in Kentucky. If I had to say what my homeschooling methodology was (but don't ask me to commit) I would say it's a Latin centered Classical education (as outlined in this book) applied in a Catholic Charlotte Mason way. Clear as mud, right??

IT's funny, I came over here to ask if anyone had read this book or was using a Latin Centered Curriculum. I must have missed this thread!

I would have to describe my curriculum like yours Jennifer except with a bit of unschooling philosophy mixed in! Keeping the focus on a few "discipline" subjects helps me feel the freedom to explore in the more broad-based, exploratory subjects
