Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I tried it for some subjects for 3rd and 7th and 9th. It is VERY Evangelical. Also, it is very *fill in the blank* and seems not to promote thinking and mulling on ideas. DS used 9th grade Social Studies, which was an introduction to various social science areas. It went into how to choose a career, and talked about praying to know your vocation (although it didn't use the word "vocation"), and said things like, "If you think you want to work as a bartender, you are clearly not hearing that from God." We used their Math for 2nd through Algebra II with some of our dc. They do a good job with Math, but the fact that each Lifepac was separate made it hard to look back over things if you needed a refresher on some topic. It was good, though, from the perspective that you got lots of satisfaction and a sense of progress when you could finish a whole Lifepac, you know, "3 down, 7 to go".

Overall, I wasn't well impressed, but that's just one woman's take on it. I'll be interested to see what others say.

Peace,
Nancy

Thanks nancy,it's good to hear other views before wasting money.
I was thinking it might be good for history as i'm not really keen on just using a childs history of the world, i wanted something a bit more concrete and planned out.

I use it for science in the lower grades. I buy it from Home Science Tools with the complete experiment kit.

I wouldn't use the history as it is VERY protestant.
