Just wondering at what age did your children come home to you?

My daughter came home at six weeks...she was in a wonderful, loving foster family that worked for Catholic Charities, while the birth family chose who to parent her.

My son came home at three months, he had been taken from the birth mother by DSS straight from the hospital and placed with a state foster family, then removed from them for 'neglect' , went to a Catholic Charities foster family for a short time and then placed with us.

My daughter came home at age 3. She was abandoned by her birthmom at age 2.5, then was placed into a wonderful foster home until we adopted her shortly after her third birthday.

Our twins dds came home at 15 mos.; ds#1 at 21 mos.; and ds#2 at 4yrs., 2 mos. (over a year ago)

All were relinquished to the child care centers at birth, but all also were in NICU's for a while, too, because of prematurity and other health issues. Dds were under 4 lbs. at birth; ds#2 had bi-lateral club feet, and ds#2 had Hirschsprung's disease. Dds did go into a foster family (whom we were able to meet) after they were around 6 months old.

Our ds was almost 5 when he came to us. He had been with his biological parents until 3 1/2 years, then with several foster families over the next 4 months. Just before Christmas, he was placed in a wonderful foster home for a little over a year. He came to us on December 22 the following year and his adoptin was final just before Easter.
