Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

A reporter from the Washington Post just called and asked if she could "drop by" and talk about why people have large families. I'm not kidding. Prayer cover requested please. BTW, I have a huge cold and can barely speak. Didn't seem to faze her.

This could be related to the current story around that having extra children (ie. 2 or 3) is the latest status symbol. However, I think going beyond three reduces the "status" somewhat.

Good Luck Elizabeth. We'll be praying for you.

Praying that the Holy Spirit will guide and inspire your conversation!

My first thought would be, "Is my house in order? Is my kitchen picked up?! Did the kids do their morning chores?!" I tend to be somewhat a freak about things like that...

My first thought was, "Does Katie have underwear on under her dress?" She tends to leave it in the bathroom when she goes potty...

Prayer cover from here in CA Sierra mts.
I'll ask your guardian angel and those of your kids to guard you from all those little incidents you could never predict and prepare for -- unless of course, they are to be part of the testimony in God's eyes!
You are truly a witness in this situation so Holy Spirit, shower your gifts

Ummm....MOlly, consider yourself warned; she's got your number and yours, too, Irene . She really, truly wanted to know why the birthrate is going up in Loudoun County when it's going down all over the country. She stayed almost two hours and she heard the WHOLE story--she kept asking and was really open and interested. I warned her that God will be edited out...She saw my whole house--in various states of cleanliness. I'm just grateful I had showered. And yes, Katie was wearing underwear Phew! Now, what was it I had planned for the day?

Are you serious? That would be funny. So, exactly how clean was your house and what were the children doing while she was there? Why do I suddenly feel like the teacher just walked in and announced a pop quiz ? I doubt she'd drive all the way out here to the boonies, but I'll let you know if/when she calls. And then, depending on how it goes, I may have to inflict some horrible torture upon you... .

Oh, I'm very serious. I half expected her to call Irene from my driveway. She was a nice young woman who is genuinely interested in sovling the mystery as to why there are so many big families in Loudoun. She was very open to discussing the faith aspect, though I doubt she can write about it. I definitely think she'll come out west, because this is suburban Loudoun. You represent rural Loudoun. Besides, I told her about the view from your back window, promised her it was worth the drive . And my house was considerably cleaner than last week and not nearly as clean as it will be if she comes back for pictures .

So Elizabeth... why does Loudoun have big familes? (I need to explain this to my parents after they realize we aren't going to stop at three) In fact, how come all these CM moms are out East... I was half-joking to my husband we should move out there but the closest we could get was Raleigh. Come to think about it... the next assignment could very well be there!
