Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I wanted to share with any of you who are seasoned moms or moms with back problems that I found a wonderful way to carry your baby. (you may have heard of these) It is actually a baby wrap called Moby wrap. (there are other, more expensive brands) YOu can wear your baby on your front or back and it helps with the strain. I had a sling and for the last 2 children, it would hurt my shoulder, back and hip. This displaces the weight on both shoulders and hips. It is wonderful. It can be used for newborns all the way to 35 lbs. BTW, this isn't a sales ad, I am just so excited to find a comfortable way to carry my 16 month old who needs to be held constantly. I can now carry her comfortably while tending my other 6.

MOBY's are the best for newborns!! I teach Babywearing and this is the one I recommend for newborns. They are very easy and inexpensive to make yourself too. 5 yards of a nice stretchy fabric from the $1/yard table at WalMart. You don't even have to hem/serge the edges, they just kind of roll a bit like cut off sweat pants. A nice gauzy fabric works well also.

Lisa,

Where can I find one of those? We're adopting a baby in September (hopefully ) and I do suffer from back problems and am worried about carrying her.

Thanks!
