Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Yes, Its that time of year! I start thinking Christmas. My 9 yr ds - no problem there- I have MANY ideas for him. But my dd 15 yr and ds 20 - THAT IS A PROBLEM! What to get!? DD - gift cards to stores are out - shopping is so hard because the close are terrible that a gift card to one is not a gift! I have a few (very few) ideas - any suggestions! She has an ipod already, she has an iPad. . . last year I got her a chair from pier 1 for her room - so a big bean bag thing is out. . .

DS - well, I could use a few ideas. I do know I am getting some gift cards to some restaurants that are near his college. My mom is getting him a sweater/ sweatshirt type thing.

Oh - it gets harder when the kids get older to figure out presents!

Do either of them have cell phones, you could purchase minutes for them.   For your dd how about a mall gift card, that way it's not limited to clothing stores.
College "survival box" for your ds. Car stuff/gas card for him. headphones for ipods, they tend to wear out after a while.
hth.

Our 12 year old is getting Amazon gift cards for purchases for her Kindle and itunes gift cards for her iPod. And some new headphones with the stop start feature on the headphones.

My 24 year old sister always gets gas gift cards from our relatives and she LOVES that!

What do they do daily? Is there anything that could make their days better? Maybe some comfy slippers or a new bible or maybe some office supplies like post it notes, highlighters pens, notebooks all in a new backpack or messenger bag?

Would your daughter like a new purse or accessories? Maybe some nice new jewelry? Or maybe a new hat, gloves, scarf combo?

Can you ask them for wishlists? That's what I do with my kids. I don't buy things for the older ones. They get money so that they can spend it on whatever they want (usually LOTR models, paints, eating out with friends). Their wishlists are written to satisfy requests from grandparents.

We've recently bought the following, books, self-inflating camping mat, strong backpack (for your son's college books).
