Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I used to be able to pick up some normal, plain shoes and sandals for my girls (the under 10 crowd with less than adult size feet) at places like Kmart or Target. Well, I was at both places this week and there is no selection - the few they had have gone the way of the rest of the pre-teen clothes, IYKWIM. Let's just say my petite 9yo doesn't need to be wearing silver, high heeled sandals to Mass.

Where do you shop for shoes? I'm willing to go the Zappos route, but would rather try things on *first* instead of having to send back 5 times.

Help?

hmmm I've often found if Target doesn't have what I'm looking for Walmart often will and vice versa. Landsend has little girl shoes. But I haven't had to shop for my youngest daughter in some time. She has some nice hand me downs

Fwiw, I have ordered a few pairs at once from Zappos knowing I would be sending most back. No clue about girl shoes, though.

I just looked it up since I really like my Jambu shoes, and they do make cute little girl shoes as well. I think they would be nice since they are cute but are durable enough for play.

Hi, Amy~
Do you know about these? HOY Salt Water Sandals

And, this time of year, some of the Stride Rite sandals are on sale now....so they are more reasonably priced.

Tell me about it! Can I just say ARGH!

There is no selection, or her size is not available. I shop the Lands End Overstocks often and have had good luck there. I am signed up for their e-mail, so I get free shipping, and I can make returns free at Sears.

Sears has also come through for me for girls shoes... mine has a pretty wide selection.
