The tag we pulled from the Angel Tree at church is a request for a pair of sweat pants for a boy, size 8 Husky.

I know jeans come in Slim, Regular, Husky. Not so sure about sweat pants. Walmart has sweats in small, medium, large, etc. and I figured out that M is size 8. But I didn't see any further size information for things like Husky. Don't you just buy the next larger size if the 8's are too tight - kind of like size 8 Husky is the same thing as size 10?

Peace,
Nancy

Interesting dilemma. I have never seen elastic sweat pants in anything but the size. If you go the next size up they will be longer and bigger everywhere else.

I think Sears pants run big...always falling off my guys.

Spoke too soon. I see Old Navy and Gap have husky sizes for sweat pants, although I didn't see Size 8.

Doesn't look like I can find any online.. but Sears and Old Navy are the two places I have found boys' husky sizes.. but probably starting larger than 8's so I don't know off hand where to find size 8 sweatpants in husky.

Do you think that perhaps it is a case of the person being asked what size they needed in one place and what items they needed in another? It might be that they also needed blue jeans or slacks, which would be "husky", and the person copying the information simply wrote down the generic size listed?

That's what I've come to think, as well, Lindsay. Based on Jenn's advice about Old Navy, I looked at their sweat pants online. There were 2 customer comments, both saying, as Jenn said, that their sweat pants run large. So, I went to ON and got size 8. Hey, they were even on sale! I see that in addition to an elasticized waist, they have a nice sturdy draw string. That should help them to be adjustable, which I hope will mean they are a good fit for the little boy who needs them.

Peace,
Nancy
