Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I've been reading all the old carseat threads, and the Radian seems like a favorite here. I can't find one to actually look at, though, since no store around here seems to carry them. I am wondering if anyone here has used one for a newborn? It's hard for me to tell from pictures whether there will be enough padding to support a little baby.

When my son was born, we used a convertible carseat that theoretically was fine for a baby as small as 5 pounds, but I never felt that he was really secure in it (he was 6 pounds, 5 oz at birth) until he had gained several pounds and filled out the seat a bit better.

I'd love to hear if anyone has experience with this! Or, if there is another convertible carseat you love that you used with a newborn, I'm all ears!

We have used a Radian with two of our newborns and the padding and adjustability were enough to support and secure them. But the were both big babies(10.10 and 8.4) and I did find that the buckle seemed really large and awkward to fasten on a newborn. So in my experience the Radian is adequate, but not great for newborns.
