Anyone familiar with this Disney series? My 9 y/o watched a couple of episodes at a neighbors house, and is interested in watching more here. It looks to me like typical Disney twaddly (like Hannah Montana, the Suite Life...etc) so I"m inclined to not pursue it. It seems like shows like it always have fresh, sassy children and "dopey" adults, so I think we'll probably pass.
Any thoughts?

yeah...what you said.
Plus.....you have to deal with the wizardry as well
I personally do not allow the afternoon Disney channel to my kids....till they are older and ONLY at a hotel or Great-grandma's house IF there is nothing else on and there is nothing else to do for that moment. By then, they were old enough to say BAH to it :)
just my own opinion for MY family

let me add:
the reasons are as you mentioned above...but, since we rarely READ twaddle.....we try to avoid WATCHING twaddle as well
slightly harder, esp if you have TV
we do not have TV.....only DVDs....we only see TV when at others' houses

Yep pretty much what Chari said.. we don't have piped in TV so I just don't make a big deal out of it.. my kids aren't places to watch tv enough to be a problem even if they see it now and again.

I'll be the fly in the ointment-
My children get to watch Disney- Wizards included.
They see it as a silly show that is fun.
I'd rather have that idealized life where they
Created their own versions of Shakespeare's
Plays made costumes and performed it for
Us, milked goats, read Latin and poetry for the
Sheer thrill of it, spun wool, started a business,
and that whole "Homeschool Dream Life" I used to
See on the " Treaching Home" magazine cover!
But back here on planet earth, we have a TV
And watch it some.
It is no biggie for us.
For MY family, this just isn't an issue.
