I am looking at getting an Ergo baby carrier. Is this a carrier I can comfortably use during pregnancy with Greta on my back or front? Will it fit under my bump? I am using a wrap right now, which I love, but I'm thinking with some of the things we have going on next year, the Ergo may be easier to use.

I found the Ergo to be my carrier of choice when pregnant this last time. I only used it on my back (I got it when I was already in my second trimester, so my bump was already too pronounced to have her on my front). The thing I liked about it as opposed to the wrap was the easy on and off--it was nice to be able to quickly take her on and off my back without having to bend over to tie her on, which I find uncomfortable in late pregnancy.
I actually found it more comfortable to wear it OVER my bump than UNDER it; it would slip down my fairly narrow hips when I had it down low. But up high, my tummy kept it in place.
I wore my youngest daughter at least an hour a day (often much more) on my back in the Ergo all the way through my pregnancy without much discomfort at all. Even up to the week I gave birth, I did all my weekly housecleaning with her perched back there.

Thank you Celeste! That is exactly what I wanted to hear! :) I mostly carry Greta on my back and the wrap works very well for that, but it is hard to take her up and down over and over.

The woman I used to teach baby carrying classes with used an Ergo throughout her pregnancies (her girls were closer together than my boys and thus much smaller--it never seemed worth it to me with my older babies, yk?).

I've been using my Ergo to carry Lizzie on my back this pregnancy. I am 31 weeks now and can still fit it under my bump, but it's getting uncomfortable to do it for very long periods.
