My oldest son graduates with a bio/chemical degree in a few weeks. He hasn't found a job as yet and is seriously thinking of taking off a year and volunteering. He is looking for some place he can physically work (digging wells, etc
He doesn't want to be in an office with paperwork or a lab. Although working with medical team would be fine. He has worked in a hospital lab for 3 years and knows the lingo and can take blood wonderfully. (I hardly felt the sting). Any suggestions? I NEED it to be a pro-life group (not Peace Corps, etc.). He'd love it to be Catholic.

My third son will be living with the Community of St. Johns in September. And thank you very much for that suggestion. But this is a bit more vocational oriented (which is what 3rd son is looking for), but not oldest son. He doesn't think he has a religious vocation.

How about serving with FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) FOCUS

I've been hearing so many good things about the program - and hoping that they'll be able to bring the program to my son's school.
