Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

How much longevity do you get with carrying your baby/tot in an Ergo?

How old is baby/tot when you stop using it?

Thanks.

I can comfortably wear it on the front until baby is about 30lbs and on the back to about 45lbs.

I don't like it for newborns, event though they say you can use it with a newborn with the insert. I found the baby just too small. I started using mine with a plump 4-5 mos. old. I'm still using it with him at over aged 2. When I first bought it, I put my very big 3 yr old on my back just to see if it could be done comfortably. I never really used it with him, but it was comfortable.

I love love love my Ergo. I can wear it for hours without my shoulders hurting.

I finally saw a maya wrap with a newborn. I can totally see why they would be perfect for the first few months.

DITTO!

I do use a ring sling for the first few months. It's just so much easier with a little one.

I just got my Ergo with this last baby, and she's only twelve months old, but I'm still carrying her for a couple hours a day on my back with no problems at all (and I'm 7 months pregnant).

When I brought it home, I tried my two 3yos (both weigh around 40 pounds) in it and was quite comfortable with them on my back--my husband would definitely be able to wear them for long stretches that way, if needed.

still using mine with a nearly 3 year old and four months prego.
Mine is nearly six years old and been through numerous babies as I let someone borrow it for a little while. well worth the money esp. with mutiple kids in the family!

I do find that when I am not pregnant it is too big on me (the size small) but I am 5'2" and about 100 pounds wet when not pregnant. My husband finds it a little small at 6'4" and 200 #. So if you are in the middle of that it will fit you fine!
