Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My 6m dd had her shots today and is refusing to nurse - just screaming and screaming.
Has anyone experienced this and have any advice?

Update - God is good - she woke up this morning and is completely fine - happy, smiling, scooting along and nursing a lot. Whew - what a relief.

I would give an epsom salt bath to help with the reaction to the shots (you can get in the tub with her too).. shots and tylenol lower sulfation and the epsom salt bath will help replenish that.. when that's low nothing works right.

And I wouldn't worry too much about her nursing right now.. if she's reacting to the shots.. it may just take until that's down before she'll nurse. Try catching her when she's sleeping or almost sleeping.. she may just naturally latch on and nurse then without fighting you.

A welcome resolution! Nothing nicer than a baby who is eager to nurse!

Peace,
Nancy
