Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Our daughter has potty trained herself but I have been noticing that she has what seems to be a bit of a physical quirk - she passes water more like a boy, spraying out on front of her. So it is pretty messy! I'm not sure if this is a common thing or if there are any tips I can try to deal with it.

My daughter just trained herself too, and she has this same tendency. It's usually because she's trying to look into the potty while she's going. I've taught her to lean forward with her elbows on her knees, which has seemed to help direct the spray downward.

My 3 year old dd does this also--as have some of my other girls--I think for my daughter, it is because she tries to go so fast and "hard" that she ends up soaked----we are still working on slowing down and "going gently"

My 3yo dd does that, too, but the mess can be minimized by having her sit farther back on the seat and lean forward a bit while she goes.
