Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My baby (sniff sniff) is turning a year old at the end of the month. I'm trying to decide what to get present- wise. What's been a hit with this age group at your house? We have a lot of the standards already,,,lol. I was thinking of one of these dolls. http://www.hearthsong.com/hearthsong/product.do?section_id=1 &bc=1005&pgc=79&sv=2586&cmvalue=HS|1

I'm thinking the little all in one shorts outfits.. those are so cute and comfy and we're rather shy on some in the size my baby is.. and his birthday will be here before the worst heat of summer so a couple of those would be nice maybe I'll wrap them in a box and he can play with the box.. that seems to thrill the littles as much as any toy

I hadn't really thought of any toys to give him.. we have quite a few already that are appropriate for his age.

We have a Bounce and Spin Zebra from Fisher Price that was a lifesaver during the winter months. Every kid that comes over here wants to play on it. My kids tend to the active and energetic side, though, so take that for what it's worth.

My baby just turned one. She received a new car seat (the old one was expired), a baby gate (to keep her off the stairs), this FP gumball machinehttp://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2265240 (which her big sisters have loved as much if not more than her), a push toy that switches from being a walker to a fire truck riding toy, and some clothes.

It gets harder and harder to shop for toys for each new child when you already have tons of quality things left from the older ones.

We gave our girly a solid wicker work pram when she turned one - it was a help as she started walking, became even more popular from 18m-2y, and we just unscrewed the wheels, removed the handle and now she has a cosy wicker cot for her babies.

Along with what you decide, give your dd a new box of kleenex! She will love pulling them out, one by one! Affordable AND FUN
