Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone had experience with both who could advise me which to get? I've read the benefits/draw backs of both and am still confused! Thanks!

I LOVE Indian they are softer and quilt up nice and fluffy. Chinese tend to last through more children, that is just what I hear though I don't think it is true. I sold all my Chinese, because they were a bit rough.

I bought unbleached Indian and I had a problem with absorbancy with some of them. I do love the feel of them, though.

It could be that they need to be prepped a bit more times. Indians tend to have residual oils from not being bleached. That is what I found with mine also that they took a while to b fully prepped. I guess that is the only thing about unbleached Indians.

Well, I've never seen the Indian ones, but we used the Chinese ones and loved them. They definitely last through several children and I think they washed up very nicely (after 3 or 4 washes). When I stopped using cloth after several years, they were still in great shape, despite bleaching at times (I know, bleach is yuccky, but I couldn't stand them not being white! ).

Interestingly enough, one set I bought from one company and followed the directions specifically (washing them alone in hot water three or four times before using) and they have worked great. Another set I did the same for and even after several months of use they have not turned out as well.

One other thing about the unbleached prefolds, they are so nice and thick that they tend to absorb odor after a few uses. The lady from Green Mountain Diapers told me that sometimes you just have to bleach them.

I have both and I really prefer Indian also. In my experience, they both work the same, but the Chinese seem bulkier and not quite as soft. I use them both, but I know it's almost washing time when I start using the Chinese.
