I was trying to find a FHC dress for my dd on the computer.

(My mom finally mailed mine to me and it turns out she has been smoking! In bed! for 20+ yrs! and guess where she stored the dress? I CAN NOT get the smell out.

Needless to say I have been searching for one with fhc only 4 weeks away it does not look good.)

Anyway I clicked on a catholic supply comapny -one i recognized and KA-POW!

Porn stared downloading from a pop up! Luckily my Macafee blocked the images and froze the computer. I Shut off the modem then rebooted the computer then ran macafee scan, spybot and , yahoo antispy.

Everything checked clear.

Is there any thing left i should do? Any other saftey procedures?

I have this horrible fear of somthing lurking on my computer that will pop up when my kiddos will see.

I am so mad and upset to my stomach about it!

People want to see filth fine- their problem but why on earth would they try to sneak it onto my computer?
EWw Eww!

I am not security or tech savvey please let me know if there is something else i should do for my pc.

and please pray we find a dress!

I think I'd clear cookies and history too.. that way you don't have any of that ick stored on your computer in temporary files or such.

and my dh is a firefighter.. and while it leaves it's own smell behind but that can be washed out and faded with time (hanging outside would help a lot) but umm on his bad smelling work clothes (from smoke/dirt/diesel/gas) pinesol gets the bad smell out.

remember smoke is greasy so you need a degreaser to get it out.

But have you seen the dresses at JCP Online? A friend of mine just ordered this one.

And, we ordered from here last year.

A good friend of mine found one at Burlington. Who'da thought?? I was really surprised. We got really lucky and my Mom made my daughter's. Good luck with the computer.
